Four-week session/2 sessions per week for 3rd-grade students: 5:15–6:15 PM

About the Role:

Summa Cum Laude School is seeking a passionate, engaging elementary teacher to lead a small-group “ Book Club” - one session for 2nd-grade students and another session for 3rd-grade students. This after-school program is designed to foster a love of reading, thoughtful discussion, and joyful learning in a warm, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead engaging book club discussions with a small group of students
- Guide students through high-quality children’s literature using the provided materials, curriculum, and lesson plans
- Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and respectful conversation in student-centered book discussions
- Create a welcoming, book-loving atmosphere where every child feels seen

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students (2nd/3rd grade preferred)
- Strong classroom presence and discussion-facilitation skills

- Teaching credential preferred but not required (experience welcomed)
