San Marcos Treatment Center
, a 212-bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas. The center spans 65 acres with abundant trees and wildlife. We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and developmental levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, playing fields, a ropes course, a canteen, a social area, and a healing trail.
We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs that teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning.

Mental Health Associates (MHA) are on the front lines of treatment for the children in our care. They provide a safe and therapeutic environment and are primarily responsible for implementing the daily program schedule. As a member of the clinical team, accurate clinical and administrative documentation is required, along with communication with co‑workers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.

- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening
