Overview
Priority Personnel is hiring a Quality Inspector for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX.
Pay rate: $21.00/hour plus $1.00 shift differential
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday/2:00pm-10:30pm
The Quality Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting a variety of products in different phases of the manufacturing process to ensure conformance to customer specifications and meeting the highest quality standards. Must have electrical assembly experience.
Responsibilities- Conducts visual inspection and dimensional measurement of incoming raw materials to ensure purchased products meet the specifications and quality requirements.
- May be assigned occasionally to conduct final and/or in process testing and inspections as the need arise.
- Interpret drawings/blueprints for testing and inspection.
- Controls, updates and maintains controlled copies of product drawings for both production and QC area. Recommend improvements to controlled documents such as inspection and test procedures, standard work instructions, job orders, etc.
- Generate quality records such as test reports, certificate of compliance and other related documents.
- Maintains and monitor gage calibration records. Ensure tools are up to date.
- Conducts product validation and failure analysis for RMA parts.
- Assists in conducting internal audits for ISO/IRIS QMS requirements.
- Conduct process verification checks based on documented work instructions.
- Follow and assist in the creation / revision of standard work instructions to improve efficiency and quality in the work area. Work with internal teams to resolve product or compliance issues.
- Document NCRs for receiving, in process and final inspection process.
- Work with individuals from across the company to achieve goals.
- Provide training to peers on updates to process or product specifications as required.
- Attend required training to keep up to date with latest industry trends and standards.
- Practice 6s in habitual manner in every aspect of the job to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
- Other job duties as required by management.
- Minimum two years of industrial work experience.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of how to use calibrated measuring tools.
- MUST HAVE Electrical assembly and testing experience
