Responsibilities
Registered Nurse (RN) under the Director of Nursing. Assess patients, implement treatment plans, administer medications, document, and educate families. Shift supervisor of Mental Health Techs and LVN staff, ensuring a safe therapeutic environment for children, adolescents, and young adults.
Provide direct patient care and management of patients as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Assume safety, supervision, and crisis management responsibilities. Provide assessment and medical management. Assist in management of the therapeutic milieu.
Qualifications- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- One year of psychiatric/ neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents and/or young adults in a long‑term hospital or residential setting preferred.
- Current Texas professional RN license and valid driver license.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
- Demonstrates effective organization; develops and implements patient care services within the discipline.
- Consistently exhibits mental ability to understand and perform essential functions of the job. Ability to initiate and implement all phases of the nursing process; provide safe nursing care; understand patient rights; possess basic supervisory skills.
