San Marcos Treatment Center
, a 212-bed, seclusion free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas. It spans 65 acres with trees, wildlife, 13 living units separated by gender, age, and development levels, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to help them moderate behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning.

Mental Health Associates (MHA) are on the front lines of treatment for the children in our care. They provide a safe and therapeutic environment, implement the daily program schedule, maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation, and communicate with co‑workers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening
