About this role

The Technical Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operations. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment or process issues, maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operating assigned production equipment in accordance
  • Monitoring machine performance and product quality throughout the production process
  • Performing routine equipment adjustments and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime
  • Identifying, documenting, and escalating mechanical, electrical, or process issues as needed
  • Conducting equipment changeovers, setups, and line clearances
  • Performing basic preventive maintenance tasks and assisting maintenance teams as required
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
  • Accurately completing production, downtime, and quality documentation
  • Following all safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements
  • Participating in continuous improvement, 5S, and Kaizen activities
  • Training and supporting less experienced operators as assigned
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Responding to production upsets in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring that processes are completed accurately and according to the production schedule
  • Providing daily coverage of production line processes to ensure smooth and effective operations, including a rapid response to out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity
  • Investigating and implementing countermeasures to improve product yield
  • Evaluating necessary changes to the line, supporting quick fixes, and improving line reliability
  • Ensuring manufacturing lines produce quality products safely and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
  • Has High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
  • Possesses 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical operations environment preferred
  • Can display basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Is able to read and follow technical instructions, SOPs, and work orders
  • Has a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Possesses basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
Additionally
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment with noise exposure, moving equipment, and temperature variations
  • May involve rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
Physical Requirements
  • Able to move up to 25-50lbs
  • Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Can wear PPE
  • Ability to bend, reach, and work around machinery
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes
  • Is capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs
