Reports to: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager
Location: San Marcos, Texas

About This RoleThe EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and promoting environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role helps maintain a safe workplace by identifying risks, implementing safety initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental stewardship.

What You’ll Be Doing- Assisting in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs and policies.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conducting workplace safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses; documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Supporting safety training programs for employees and leadership.
- Maintaining required safety documentation, reports, and recordkeeping.
- Monitoring environmental compliance requirements related to waste, emissions, and chemical management.
- Participating in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Tracking safety metrics and helping prepare compliance and performance reports.
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, preferred.
- Possesses 2–5 years of EHS or safety compliance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferred.
- Has relevant certifications (such as safety or environmental certifications), a plus.
- Can display a strong understanding of OSHA standards and safety compliance requirements.
- Is knowledgeable of environmental regulations, preferred.
- Can conduct root cause analysis and incident investigations.
- Has strong communication and training facilitation skills.
- Is detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Can work cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
- Has experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to operational noise, machinery, and production environments.
- Able to move up to 50 lbs.
- Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- Can wear PPE.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Is capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.
