West Texas Lighthouse for the Blind has positions available for Production Workers who are Blind or Legally Blind
. Production Workers are responsible for a variety of hand assembly tasks as directed by the Manufacturing Manager or Working Foreman.
- Clip caps for writing instruments.
- Package and label writing instruments in DZ, 100/ct, or any other UOM as specified by work order.
- Count finished items using a weight scale upon completion of work order.
- Package finished items that have been weighed using box machines.
- Label packaged boxes. May be required to operate label software to print labels.
- Operate the vinyl tubing cutter.
- Fold the material for canvas bags.
- Sew canvas bags.
- Silk screen canvas bags.
If applicable:
- Operate marker machines.
- Operate pad printers.
- Must be able to function in a team environment.
