Job Description
Perform daily store and delivery operations for a pizza restaurant, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Operate all kitchen equipment and prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
- Deliver product by car and to customers’ doors, delivering flyers and door hangers.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Pass a background check and maintain open availability.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Verbal and telephone communication skills to process orders.
- Ability to train, lead, and work in a team environment.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and handle monetary change accurately.
- Proficient in entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Maintain cost controls and adhere to quality standards.
Orientation and on‑the‑job training will be provided.
Essential Functions / Skills- Accurate numerical calculations and making correct monetary change.
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Good motor coordination and hand‑eye coordination for rapid and precise movements.
- Ability to navigate using maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, including multi‑story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, carry, push, climb stairs, and perform other occupational tasks.
- Exposure to variable weather conditions during outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to above 90°F.
- Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped and hot work areas, including walk‑in coolers and hot surfaces up to 500°F.
- Sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and potential for repetitive stress.
- Tasks performed while standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing.
