Job Title:

Clinical Laboratory Scientist. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform comprehensive testing across all laboratory disciplines, ranging from Chemistry to Immunohematology, for patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric. The role involves ensuring quality assurance, accurate result management, and effective collaboration with healthcare professionals, while adhering to regulatory compliance.

• Conduct tests across various lab disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Immunohematology, for all age groups.
• Monitor test data, perform quality control, and troubleshoot instrument/method issues.
• Analyze and report test results, identifying critical values and notifying appropriate staff promptly.
• Consult and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with policies, CLIA regulations, and state/federal laws while maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Possession of a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License, ideally as a generalist.
• Proficiency in laboratory principles, theories, and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with automated instrumentation, molecular testing, and various platforms.

The role is based in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. It requires manual dexterity, prolonged computer use, and periods of standing or sitting. The focus is on delivering accurate and timely diagnoses that are crucial for patient care.

This is a Contract position based out of San Marcos, CA.

The pay range for this position is $140.00 – $150.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in San Marcos,CA.
