Registered Veterinary Technician – Neurology – VSH North County

Join our Neurology Department at Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County, a 24‑hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital dedicated to exceptional pet care. Our team includes two Board‑Certified Neurologists and a collaborative, client‑focused culture.

• Provide technical support and anesthesia procedures for neurology cases, including IV catheter placement, medication calculations, anesthesia monitoring, and imaging (CT/MRI).
• Assist doctors during examinations, surgeries, and client education.
• Maintain sterile technique during surgical procedures and advocate for patient comfort and safety.
• Handle record keeping for medical procedures, patient status, and anesthetic monitoring.
• Work on calls, holidays/weekends, and overnight shifts as needed.

• Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Rotating on‑call: 1–2 calls per week with a $250 bonus per procedure (e.g., MRI + Surgery = $500).

• Credentialed Technician (RVT) or equivalent: $24–$34 /hr.
• Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS): $35–$42 /hr.

• Active California RVT license required.
• Minimum 2 years veterinary experience with anesthesia experience essential.
• Strong communication, organizational, and proactive skills.
• Accuracy in calculating anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs.
• Proficiency in record keeping for treatments, procedures, supplies used, and anesthetic records.
• Excellent client service and ability to work well under stress.
