Position SummaryAs the EHS Manager, you will lead and manage all EHS programs for our manufacturing facilities in California and Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader, an expert in state‑specific regulations for both CA and CT, and passionate about building a world‑class safety culture. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing risk, and protecting our employees and the environment.
Qualifications& Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5‑7 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in navigating both California and Connecticut EHS regulatory frameworks.
- California‑Specific Knowledge:
Proven experience managing a Cal/OSHA IIPP and ensuring compliance with Proposition 65 in a manufacturing setting. - Connecticut‑Specific Knowledge:
Proven experience managing compliance with Federal OSHA and CT DEEP regulations (air, water, waste). - Strong understanding of core manufacturing safety programs:
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication (Haz Com), Ergonomics, and Process Safety Management (PSM), if applicable. - Experience leading incident investigations (Root Cause Analysis) and implementing CAPAs.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel between California and Connecticut facilities as required up to 50%.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards a plus.
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP – Certified Safety Professional, CIH – Certified Industrial Hygienist, CHMM – Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).
- Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001/45001).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.

You are also directly responsible for preventing all workplace incidents and environmental releases by proactively identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and driving down safety metrics.

You must actively collaborate with all employees and contractors to champion the safety culture, deliver effective training, and empower hazard reporting. This role involves leading cross‑functional teams during incident investigations and risk assessments, and acting as the primary liaison in collaborations with regulatory agencies.
- Empowered to act as the primary leader and technical expert for all EHS matters, with the authority to design, implement, and manage comprehensive programs, lead incident investigations, and coordinate emergency responses.

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is up to $100,000 annually (DOE) per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors considered relevant to the hiring decision.
