Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Fire Sprinkler Designer role located in San Diego, CA. The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for creating detailed fire sprinkler system designs in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. Day-to-day tasks include drafting system layouts, performing hydraulic calculations, and preparing submittals. The designer will also collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure project accuracy and success.

Attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, will be essential.

Qualifications
  • Experience in fire sprinkler system design and proficiency with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Understanding of NFPA standards and local building codes
  • Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and prepare detailed submittals
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple teams and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in fire protection engineering or a related field are a plus
  • Previous experience in the fire-life safety industry is an advantage
  • Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA
