Required Qualifications

Job Description

The Academic Program Coordinator is responsible for providing professional support for the Center for International Studies. The Center for International Studies provides students with a quality interdisciplinary education to prepare them for careers in the private and public sectors. As the only degree granting center at Texas State, the Center for International Studies has over 400 students pursuing bachelors, masters, minors, and certificates pertaining to International Studies.

The Coordinator is responsible for engaging with a diverse student population and assisting with advising, curriculum, assessment, recruiting, and outreach.

Job Duties
  • Endowment budgets and reporting
  • Recurring program assessments.
  • Collaborating with faculty and academic support offices to ensure progressive and timely advising services, programming, and assistance.
  • Coordinating recruitment activities.
  • Reviewing and developing curriculum and catalog updates.
  • Developing and updating marketing materials, including print, website, and social media.
  • Coordinating academic fellowship programs, internships, study abroad, and academic and career advising.
  • Coordinate TXST Global, Accelerated Online, Undergraduate, and Graduate programs
  • Coordinating programming for the Center for International Studies including faculty/student panels, informational sessions, recruitment events, and guest lectures.
  • Coordinating scholarship review committee and awards.
  • Advising and mentoring student organizations.

    Assist Director with graduate student support
  • Assist Director with student career and internship opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
