Job Description

Palomar College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach theater arts. The ideal candidate will have a specialty in Costume Design and Stage Makeup.

The job duties include teaching curriculum-approved courses within the discipline of Theatre Arts.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must meet one of the sets of qualifications listed below:

  • A Master’s or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance.
  • A Bachelor’s or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance AND a Master’s in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature, or humanities.
  • A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of the qualifications in either
    1) or
    2) above.

Only coursework completed at, and degrees awarded by, accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education will be considered as satisfying the minimum qualifications.
