The Admissions Advisor ensures all future, current, and past students have the tools and information they need to be successful in their careers. The Advisor assists in all aspects of student recruitment, sales, marketing, and guiding prospective students through the admissions life cycle, supporting the mission and enrollment goals of the school while creating a friendly and positive environment.

Job Title: Admissions Advisor

Status: Non‑Exempt / Hourly

Type: On‑Campus

Reports To: Campus Director

Overall

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures total compliance with federal, state, and accrediting regulations.
  • Consults with prospective students (and parents, if applicable) to convey the value of an education.
  • Regularly follows up with prospective students via phone and email.
  • Responds quickly to requests for information and provides assistance.
  • Accurately communicates campus and program features.
  • Manages all aspects of the admissions process, including trend analysis and forecasting new student counts.
  • Plans, manages, and executes campus events such as Open House and Career Day; attends orientations, commencements, and other required events.
  • Keeps current on all programs offered and continually seeks to enhance program/school knowledge.
  • Collaborates with other departments in a positive, student‑first manner.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Campus Director.
Mid Level

Overall Education/Qualifications/Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Acceptable experience includes career services, sales, recruiting, and job placement in a vocational industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and meet placement outcomes.
  • Proven sales and networking skills.
  • Strong technical skills including computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, perform well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Non‑negotiables: positive attitude, desire to help others, self‑driven nature, confidence, and results‑orientation.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members to meet campus objectives.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and written.
  • Behaves professionally in appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
  • Consistently displays the highest levels of integrity in all actions.
