The Department of Mathematics at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers.
The applicant pool is used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester and may be used to fill vacant positions as-needed throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool will be good for the current academic year and the pool will be closed effective May 31.
To be considered for the next academic year, apply to the new pool when it becomes available by June 15.

- A master's degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
- Per the CSU Out-of-State Employment Policy, working in California is a condition of employment
- A terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community in teaching and, if applicable, service
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,008 per full-time month
- Salary schedule: CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month
- The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience
