Overview

Attends meetings (e.g. unit meetings, in-service training, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

  • Cleans kitchen (e.g. ovens, surfaces, pots, pans, staff restroom, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining required sanitary conditions.
  • Cooks breakfast and lunch foods (e.g. prepared, from scratch following recipes, etc.) for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional and projected meal requirements.
  • Estimates food preparation amounts (e.g. follows production records, adjust recipes if required, etc.) for the purpose of meeting projected meal requirements and minimizing waste.
  • Evaluates prepared foods (e.g. flavor, appearance, temperature, etc.) for the purpose of providing items that will be accepted by students and/or staff. Inspects food items (e.g. temperature, quantity, quality, etc.) for the purpose of meeting preparation requirements and/or complying with mandated health standards.
  • Operates point of sale system (e.g. scan , collect cash/ payment tickets, etc.) for the purpose of securing funds for food selection, counting students, and meeting nutritional standards.
  • Prepares food and beverage items (e.g. preschool meals, special events, teacher meetings, etc.) for the purpose of delivering required meals. Records payments for food items from students (e.g. cash, , payment tickets, etc.) for the purpose of securing funds for food selection.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions for the purpose of maintaining equipment in safe working order.
  • Serves required items of food for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and/or requests of students and school personnel.
  • Stocks food, condiments and supplies for the purpose of maintaining adequate quantities and security of items.

Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, IVP (Identity Verified Print) Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Working Calendar Year: 180 Days

Salary: 15.50/Hr
