Pilot - Aircraft and Crew Manager (ACM) - Challenger 605 PIC (KSBP Based)
Lead the leadership, development, and maintenance of assigned aircraft and perform duties as a Part 91/135 aircraft pilot. Operate type‑rated Challenger 605 on behalf of ACI Jet’s 135 Certificate, ensuring a positive relationship with employees, vendors, and clients. External applicants must reside within 90 minutes drive of San Luis Obispo, CA (KSBP).
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Flight Operations Management and aircraft owner to ensure operational success.
- Maintain the overall relationship with aircraft owner and ensure their satisfaction.
- Oversee the owner’s travel, recruit and assign crew, and ensure fair workload.
- Retain and mentor crew, ensuring competency in their duties.
- Ensure aircraft is properly outfitted, and coordinate maintenance with Director of Maintenance.
- Lead aircraft modifications/upgrades and monitor revenue/expenses against owner expectations.
- Verify monthly accounting invoices, complete owner reports, and complete task assignments timely.
- Act as PIC/SIC when assigned and maintain subject‑matter expertise on the aircraft type.
- Disseminate updates on manuals, avionics, and regulatory changes to crew.
- Answer operational questions from Dispatch, Maintenance, Pilots promptly.
- Operate aircraft safely and efficiently in compliance with all regulations.
- Coordinate with Flight Dispatch to achieve assigned flight operations goals.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service to clients and owners.
- Maintain current EFB, ACOM, and pre‑flight inspections.
- Minimum 3,500 total hours, 1,500 multi‑engine.
- Current, valid Pilot’s Certificate with English‑proficiency endorsement; meets ICAO Annex I, Sect. 2.1.10.
- Valid ATP rating, First Class Medical, and U.S. Passport.
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or 3–5 years professional aviation experience.
- Ability to work in a team in high‑stress, fast‑paced environment.
- Strong motivation, organization, and willingness to live within ~90 minutes of KSBP.
Salary: $225,000–$275,000/yr (DOE). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, flying club, continuing education.
