The Associate Attorney will be responsible for all aspects of the workers’ compensation case, including evaluating the merits of the case, providing guidance and counsel to the clients through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling and litigating cases, if necessary.
Essential Job Functions- Managing a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity
- Creating litigation plans
- Creating budget plans, if necessary
- Conducting discovery
- Traveling to court and other appearances
- Trying cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction
- Composing motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Preparing cases for trial
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties to effectively represent clients
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Require at least 5 years of experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases
