Physical Therapy Assistant; San Luis Obispo County Home Health

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic care team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients in their homes. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys flexible scheduling and is committed to delivering high-quality care to patients across diverse communities.

• Deliver physical therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and mobility techniques to promote recovery and independence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to all state, federal, and agency regulations and protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current California PTA license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a home health or similar setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home-based setting.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.

This position is paid by the visit. Compensation for routine visits ranges from $45.00-$55.00 per visit. Actual pay rates vary depending on factors including type of visit, type of experience, location, and years of experience.
