Sr. Echocardiographic Technician - Primary and Specialty Care, San Luis Obispo

Description

Under the supervision of UCLA Cardiac Imaging Physicians, perform all 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode, and Doppler studies. Responsibilities include notifying physicians for urgent or pre-operative echo readings, preparing preliminary interpretations, and maintaining records related to echo studies. Additional duties may be assigned by the physicians and manager.

Salary: $58.53-$77.26 hourly

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of a Cardiac Echocardiography Technology Program
• Adult: ARDMS-RDCS (AE);
  Pediatrics: ARDMS-RDCS (PE)
• At least 3 years of adult or pediatric/fetal echo tech experience
• BLS Card from AHA or ARC
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
• Ability to apply ultrasound techniques to clinical evaluations
• Ability to operate echo machines weighing over 500 lbs for distances up to 100 feet
• Manual dexterity to manipulate transducers and machine controls
• Proficiency with PC and word processing software for reports
• Ability to make preliminary evaluations and generate reports
• Maintain logs, track charges, and ensure proper billing
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks timely
• Strong interpersonal skills for professional interactions
• Ability to interpret physician instructions and follow policies
• Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS)
