Located in the heart of Edna Valley in San Luis Obispo, The White Barn offers a stunning venue for weddings and special events. This charming, recently renovated rustic dairy barn, surrounded by the picturesque Santa Lucia Mountains, provides an unforgettable experience for guests. The venue features authentic redwood paneling, string lights, and two remodelled accommodations: the Farm House and Dairy House.
Guests can enjoy the serenity of wine country, nearby beaches, gourmet dining, and shopping, creating a perfect destination for special occasions. Tours of the venue are available by appointment to showcase its unique offerings and idyllic setting.
This is a part-time on-site role for an Event Manager located in San Luis Obispo, CA, at The White Barn. The Event Manager will coordinate and oversee all aspects of weddings and special events, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing bookings and vendor communication, assisting with event setup and teardown, overseeing logistics, addressing client needs on-site, and ensuring events proceed as planned.
The role will also include post-event evaluations and coordination of venue maintenance to uphold high standards. Hours per week: 10-20 Pay: $18/hour

- Event planning and management skills, including scheduling, time management, and risk assessment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for vendor coordination and client relations
- Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle on-site challenges effectively
- Experience in hospitality or event-related roles, preferably in venues or wedding/event planning
- Proficiency in organizational tools or software for event planning
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
- Familiarity with the San Luis Obispo area and local vendors is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, event management, or related field is advantageous
- Physical ability to assist with event setup and teardown
