We are seeking a detail‑oriented and knowledgeable Environmental Compliance Engineer to ensure our operations comply with environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and sustainability best practices, and will play a key role in maintaining our environmental management systems.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA, NFPA, local/state environmental agencies)
- Further develop and maintain the Hazardous Waste Program, HAZCOM Program, and Hazardous Materials Business Plan
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments of facilities and processes
- Obtain, renew, and maintain environmental permits (air, water, waste, etc.)
- Develop, implement, and annually review environmental programs and policies
- Develop, implement, and improve environmental management systems
- Prepare and submit compliance reports, documentation, and data to regulatory agencies as required
- Investigate environmental incidents or non‑compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Stay current on environmental legislation and policy changes and advise stakeholders accordingly
- Provide training and technical support to staff regarding environmental practices and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in environmental compliance, permitting, or EHS roles
- Experience creating and implementing effective and compliant environmental programs
- Experience in managing hazardous materials and wastes according to applicable federal, state, and local codes
- Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and permitting processes
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CHMM, CESM, etc.)
- Experience with ISO 14001 or other environmental management systems
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards

Pay Range: $80,000 – $120,000 (DOE)
Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 (DOE)
