The ideal candidate has experience working in highly technical environments, a strong understanding of aerospace or propulsion supply chains, and the ability to manage complex, fast‑moving procurement workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure materials, hardware, and components for jet engine and propulsion system development.

  • Evaluate and select suppliers with capabilities in high‑precision machining, castings, forgings, and thermal systems.

  • Issue and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve delays or supply chain risks.

  • Support engineering teams by translating BOMs and technical requirements into actionable sourcing plans.

  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality expectations with suppliers.

  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, drive continuous improvement, and mitigate supply risks.

  • Ensure compliance with ITAR and other aerospace/defense procurement regulations.

  • Manage procurement documentation and participate in audits or compliance reviews as needed.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance to ensure alignment on build plans.

  • Contribute to long‑term sourcing strategy, supplier development, and cost reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related technical field—or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of procurement experience, preferably in aerospace, propulsion, or high‑precision manufacturing.

  • Understanding of jet engine systems, propulsion component supply chains, and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience working with BOMs, technical drawings, and aerospace quality standards.

  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive priorities.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with castings, forgings, high‑temperature materials, and rotating hardware.

  • Experience in government/defense procurement (ITAR, FAR/DFARS compliance).

  • Background in sourcing for early‑stage R&D, prototyping, or new product introduction (NPI).

  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO
9001, or related aerospace quality systems.

  • Exposure to propulsion or engine test environments and supporting Cap Ex procurement.
