Full-Time Lecturer AY - Aerospace Engineering (AY25-26). The Aerospace Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking applications for a one-year full-time lecturer position during the  academic year. There is a possibility of an additional one-year extension contingent on budget, departmental need, and satisfactory evaluation. Appointment start date:
September 11, 2025. Primary duties include teaching in propulsion, orbital mechanics, space environment, attitude determination and control, telecommunications, and space structures. Candidates with industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:

• Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677
• Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224
• Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523
• Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching; ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral English language.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Relevant work experience and professional capabilities.
