Full Time Lecturer of Management/HR 2+2 AHC
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Orfalea College of Business, Management/HR Area, invites applications for full-time lecturer in Management/HR beginning January 5, 2026. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of high-quality teaching in the following areas: management, organizational behavior, international management, human resource management, industrial relations, business strategy and policy. Assignments will be contingent upon budget and enrollments.
Primary duties and responsibilities include teaching courses in Management/HR and coordination for the Cal Poly – Allan Hancock College 2+2 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management/HR program. Teaching includes courses primarily taught at the Allan Hancock College campus in Santa Maria and as needed at the San Luis Obispo campus. Program coordination includes curriculum development/implementation, scheduling/enrollment management, student support/retention, program marketing/recruitment.
Educationand Salary
Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677.
Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224.
Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523.
Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211.

Required Qualifications- Masters degree in business or related discipline required.
- Must demonstrate strong teaching record and currency in professional field.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching.
- Ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings.
- Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language.
- A PhD in business and successful teaching record.
- Ability to work with a diverse population fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Relevant work experience and demonstrated professional capabilities.
The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
