Overview

Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Graphic Communication (AY 25/26). The Graphic Communication Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding during the Fall, Winter, and/or Spring quarter of the  academic year, which begins September 11, 2025.

• Teach one or more subjects in both lecture and lab settings or collaborate with tenure-track faculty to co-teach assigned subjects.
• Prepare and deliver course content, guide learning activities, assess student performance, and provide feedback.
• Contribute to a high-quality, inclusive learning environment and engage with diverse student populations.

• Master's degree in a related technical field required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with substantial and appropriate industry experience may be considered.

• Ph.D. or Master's Degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience desired.

• All CSU employees are designated "mandated reporters" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act. Compliance with CSU Executive Order 1083 and amendments is required.
• Following a conditional offer, a background check (including criminal records) must be completed satisfactorily before any start date. An individualized assessment will be performed if there is a criminal history.
• Current employees offered on-campus positions may require a background check where legally required or designated as sensitive.
• Cal Poly is smoke- and tobacco-free.
• Out-of-State Employment Policy restricts CSU-related work to within California.
