Full-Time Lecturer - Electrical Engineering (AY 24/25)
The Electrical Engineering Department within the College of Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking to hire four full-time Lecturers beginning September 16, 2024. Primary duties will be to teach undergraduate Electrical and Computer Engineering courses in the areas of Digital and Computer Design Coursework, Electric Circuit Analysis, Electronic Design, Control Systems, Communication Systems, Power Systems, and Signal Processing.

Education
:
Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:
Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677
Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224
Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523
Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: A Master of Science in electronic, electrical, computer science or computer engineering or related major (or B.S. in electronic, electrical, computer science or computer engineering or related major with applicable industrial experience) is required for lecture and lab courses. Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings, is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in electronic, electrical, computer science or computer engineering or related major and evidence of (or potential for) excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
