Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. In this part-time position, you will play a crucial role in managing invoice processing, coding, and payments to ensure the financial accuracy and efficiency of operations. Responsibilities:

- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Review and code invoices to appropriate accounts for financial tracking.

- Prepare and execute check runs to meet payment deadlines.

- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and documentation.

- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.

- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

- Ensure proper documentation and approval processes for all payments.

- Monitor and reconcile vendor statements to maintain up-to-date records.

- Support audits by providing necessary accounts payable documentation.

- Identify opportunities for improving accounts payable processes.

Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and financial accuracy.
