• Operating a power unit equipped with multi‑speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements.
• Perform a variety of duties in the operation of the Warehouse Department such as moving slabs, yard organization and/or maintenance in addition to driving company truck for delivery of quartz slabs.
• Plan routes to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment.
• Complete all applicable paperwork and maintain an up‑to‑date Driver Log throughout each shift.
• Gather documentation of ordered materials, delivery and COD to utilize during the routed and scheduled deliveries.
• Operate forklift, as needed, in the yard area when required.
• Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of truck unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting, electrical systems, and visual checks for potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks; refer defects or repairs to supervisor and keep equipment clean.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License – Class

• One (1) year relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
• Excellent safety and compliance record.
• Excellent driving skills.
• Flexibility to accommodate different start times.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines in a multi‑task, high‑priority environment.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization.

• May be required to drive for many hours at a stretch (within employment standards limitations), including unloading cargo and making many deliveries.
• Work both indoors and outdoors.
• Manual dexterity required to use a desktop computer and peripherals.
• Overtime and possible weekend work as required.
• Exposure to variable weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds and regularly perform physical movements (sitting, handling/gripping, climbing, stooping, crouching, push/pull).
