We are seeking an entry-level Shop Installer Technician to support our Fleet division in San Leandro CA. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a hands-on career in diesel refrigeration or fleet maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined eager to learn and motivated to grow within a fast-paced shop environment.

• Assist with the installation of Thermo King vehicle-powered (VP) and auxiliary power units (APU) on trucks, tractors, and vans.
• Support senior technicians with mechanical installations, component mounting, basic wiring and system setup.
• Follow installation guidelines, safety procedures and quality standards to ensure all work meets Sonsray expectations.
• Perform basic shop tasks such as tool organization, parts staging and work area cleanup.
• Learn proper use of hand and power tools in a shop environment.
• Accurately document work performed as directed by the Service Manager or lead technician.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations and dealership objectives.

• Mechanical aptitude or interest in pursuing a career in fleet diesel or equipment service.
• Previous hands‑on experience (automotive diesel, HVAC, construction or shop environment) is a plus but not required
  .
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions from senior technicians.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools—tools will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work in a shop environment including standing, bending, lifting and working with tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (as required).
• Reliable punctual and team-oriented.
