Job Title: Diesel Reefer Shop Mechanic

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair components of truck and trailer reefer units.
• Maintain transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computers for diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service on refrigeration equipment.
• Review shop orders to maintain truck and trailer refrigeration units and truck's APU.
• Repair failures, including removing, replacing, and testing for Freon leaks, and assembling and installing parts and components using soldering, welding, and refrigeration equipment.
• Install new units on trailers, trucks, and vans.

• Ability to walk, use hands and fingers, bend, carry, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience.
• General mechanical experience in heavy diesel equipment and electrical diagnostics is required.
• Must be over 21 years of age and possess and maintain a valid Driver's License for company driving.
• 2+ years of experience repairing Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration units is highly preferred.
