Position: Retail Account Representative  Nor Cal

Hatcheri Foods is seeking a motivated Account Representative to increase sales and support our brands in Northern California. In this position, you will be responsible for building sales, developing strong relationships with current and future retail grocery accounts in the field and merchandising as needed. You will help brand awareness through in store activation including gaining secondary locations, putting up brand POS and merchandising materials, selling into new accounts.

Candidates should reside in the Greater Bay Area

Your duties will include working at store level to apply merchandising standards, adherence to our promotional schedule, and building relationships with distributor and retail partners. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, proactive, and independent self-starter, an excellent communicator, and creative problem solver who works well in a fast paced start up environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with key retailers to maximize brand distribution
  • Call on accounts and regularly present new items to customer base
  • Work with manager and/or sales team for approval to develop and personalize sell sheets specific to distributors in your region
  • Develop expert knowledge and understanding of all Hatcheri products, and be able to clearly communicate our brand’s values and products to retail customers and consumers
  • Develop and grow store level relationships with retail and distributor partners
  • Ability to sell into a variety of retailers, including natural and specialty
  • Ensure best set merchandising standards at every store you visit
  • Perform other duties as necessary
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Minimum 2+ years outside sales experience in CPG, food sales, or distributor sales
  • Account management experience with local or regional accounts
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel weekly within the Greater Bay Area
Skills and abilities
  • Understanding of lead generation, customer qualification and selling
  • Able to work independently and deliver high results
  • Working knowledge of CPG sales, and broker/distributor networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking negotiation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office;
    Excel, Word and Power Point
