• Full‑time temporary production assignment of up to 4 months at the San Leandro facility.
• Responsible for packing, bagging, wrapping, marking, box or bag forming, machine feeding, table work or other production/finishing tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and recommend, develop, implement and manage safety, quality and food‑safety practices on all product lines.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Fast learner, open to new skills, able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform work in a fast‑paced environment and be flexible to work in heat, cold or humid conditions.
• Potential for overtime.
• Maintain a responsible, reliable, positive attitude and regular attendance.
• Follow safety protocols: wear safety shoes (up to $50 reimbursement), personal protective equipment issued by the company.
• Pass a background check, 50‑lb lift test and drug screen.

• Pay: $20.50 per hour plus shift differential.
• Bonus: Up to $600 upon completion of the 4‑month assignment with satisfactory job performance and attendance (640 hours).
• Union membership required; reduced initiation fee.
• Earn sick leave according to California labor codes (1 hour for every 30 hours worked).

• Successful operations of Ghirardelli product production.
• Continuous improvement in quality, safety, schedule, cost and waste.
• Problem solving and production issue resolution.
• Raise production issues to supervisor.
• Participate in departmental and corporate projects.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
• Assume additional tasks or projects as assigned.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: experience with automated machinery.
• Preferred: experience or exposure to Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Computer skills a plus.
