** This position is only available to current students from Samuel Merritt University**
Volunteer PA Student Responsibilities- Work alongside and be supervised by a licensed medical provider who will provide feedback regarding questions and correct errors when applicable.
- Gain practicum experiences in an FQHC setting that are of critical importance to a successful learning experience in PA program.
- Apply didactic learning concepts through synthesis and application in practice.
- Work closely with a preceptor, learning from licensed provider advice and example.
- Progressively develop the skills and judgment necessary to become an PA through supervision.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, adjusting, or moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds in all directions and occasionally more.
- Repeating motions that may include the neck, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Upper extremity demands:
Reaching above shoulder and/or below waist.
