Responsibilities

• Assist with client check-in and appointment scheduling using salon management software such as MINDBODY
• Support hairstyling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application services under supervision
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards, including proper sterilization of tools like straight razors and implements for hair threading
• Manage retail sales by upselling products related to hair care, skincare, and cosmetics while providing excellent customer service
• Help with store management tasks such as inventory tracking and restocking retail items
• Provide front desk support by answering client inquiries, confirming appointments, and handling payments accurately using POS systems
• Mentor new team members on salon procedures and customer service best practices to foster a collaborative environment

Requirements

• Prior experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
• Knowledge of hair styling techniques including hair extensions, coloring (color theory), and nail care is advantageous
• Familiarity with salon software platforms like MINDBODY or similar systems for scheduling and client management
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members
• Ability to uphold high sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures for tools such as straight razors and threading implements
• Basic retail math skills for upselling products and managing inventory levels
• A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills to create memorable client experiences
