To be considered, applicants must submit a California PELLETB "T-score" of 45 points or higher within one year, or an NTN score for the written exam requirement. Additionally, a California POST physical agility certificate with a score of 384 or higher and a 14-minute maximum time for the 1.5-mile run, dated within one year of application, must be submitted.

Salary RangeThe salary for this position has been updated to $7,310 - $8,885 based on the recently ratified union contract.

Applicants must pass the NTN or PELLETB exam, the WSTB physical agility test, and proceed through interviews, background checks, medical, and psychological evaluations. Successful candidates will receive an official job offer.
Qualifications- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Equivalent work experience or 60 college units
- At least 20.5 years old
- Valid California driver’s license
- No felony convictions
- Good physical condition
