Senior Manager, Equipment Maintenance, Infrastructure and Facilities

Join Energy Recovery, Inc. as a Senior Manager, Equipment Maintenance, Infrastructure and Facilities. This full‑time position is based in the San Leandro facility and is focused on driving equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, and infrastructure performance.

Base Pay Range

$146,000 – $201,000 per year

What Will You Do
  • Direct and develop maintenance, infrastructure and facilities teams to ensure reliable plant operation and technical excellence.
  • Lead preventive, predictive, and reliability‑centered maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Oversee infrastructure systems including power distribution, compressed air, HVAC, process utilities, and building maintenance.
  • Partner closely with Production, EHS, and Quality to meet manufacturing objectives while maintaining regulatory and safety compliance.
  • Manage capital projects related to equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and infrastructure expansion.
  • Champion root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, scrap, and maintenance costs.
  • Drive standardization of maintenance procedures, documentation, and spare parts management through CMMS systems.
  • Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, capital planning, and cost‑control strategies.
  • Build technical capability within teams through training, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • All other projects and duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading maintenance, reliability, and facilities teams within fast‑paced manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record implementing reliability engineering, TPM, and lean manufacturing principles to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
  • Strong technical expertise in industrial automation, utilities, facilities infrastructure, and environmental control systems.
  • Experience in capital project management, cross‑functional leadership, and delivering sustainable operational improvements.
  • Proactive and reliability‑based approach towards equipment maintenance and infrastructure management.
  • Experience with an asset maintenance scheduling software is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of equipment maintenance best practices with proven success improving yield, repeatability, and cost efficiency through structured continuous improvement.
