Responsibilities
- Ability to “get along” with fellow employees. Treats all with respect and courtesy and is culturally sensitive to patients and co-workers

- Demonstrate knowledge of dental health education subjects ·
- Ability to complete charting in an orderly and accurate fashion, and be proficient using electronic health records ·

- Has a positive attitude about the clinic and the services provided
- Ability to communicate – expresses thoughts and ideas competently
- Increases knowledge and skills through self-study and attending courses and seminars
- Able to understand relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities
- Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks
- Ability to take good diagnostic digital radiographs with wall mounted or hand-held x-ray unit
- Must enjoy working with a diverse population of patients and co-workers
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RDH must have completed an education program from an accredited dental hygiene school and pass written and clinical examinations
- This position requires 3-5 years of experience practicing in all aspects of dental hygiene, including but not limited to patient care, dental hygiene procedures and basic equipment maintenance.
- RDH must have completed an education program from an accredited dental hygiene school and pass written and clinical examinations ·
- Applicant must have a valid and active license to practice dental hygiene in California. Licensee must have a clean history and be free of any disciplinary action
- RDH must comply with the Dental Practice Act California Code of Regulations Section 1017 for continuing education, for each renewal period, 25 hours of continuing education, including 2 hours of Infection Control, 2 hours of California Dental Law, and Basic Life Support and CPR
- California License as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Radiation safety certificate
- Current CPR, BLS, and First Aid
- Participation in outreach, including but not limited to our annual Health Fair
