Description
Acara Solutions is looking for contract specialists to work with our partner located out in San Leandro, CA who specializes in defense manufacturing.
Here is what you will get:
Pay Rate: $40/hr to $50/hr
Shift: 9/80 schedule (Every other Friday off)
Position SummaryThe Senior Associate, Contracts supports successful business outcomes by contributing to contractual, business, and risk mitigation strategies for new and ongoing programs. This role supports key business and financial objectives, including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow. The position applies practical knowledge of contracts administration and applicable regulations while working under moderate supervision on moderately complex projects and assignments.
Key Responsibilities- Support successful business outcomes to achieve key business and financial objectives, including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow.
- Provide business, contractual, and risk mitigation support and guidance.
- Analyze new laws, regulations, and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives
- Interpret and apply contractual terms and conditions to protect company interests.
- Utilize working knowledge of applicable regulations, including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g., DFARS), and other agency regulations.
- Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures
- Support contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, contract change control, and overall contract administration
- Establish and maintain contractual interfaces with customers as required.
- Support contract formation and negotiation activities to achieve business objectives.
Required Skills /
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR a Graduate degree in lieu of experience
- Practical knowledge of contracts administration and related business practices
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, including UCC and FARAbility to analyze and interpret contractual terms, conditions, and compliance requirements
- Effective communication skills to explain processes and procedures
