Ameri Corps members in the Education focus area will provide mentoring, tutoring, and training to students residing in the community to promote academic development and bring skills and activities for adaptive and positive behavior to enable participants to deal effectively with everyday life challenges. Members in the Healthy Future component will develop workshops and physical activities for children and youth to reduce childhood obesity.

The Environmental Stewardship member will support the identification and reuse of appropriate locations for gardens, nurseries, butterfly gardens, and other community activities to foster collective use and agricultural economies.
