Security Officer - Gated Community in San Juan Capistrano, CA – you will serve and safeguard clients in residential settings and support a caring, agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team. You will greet residents and guests, manage entry using badges and visitor logs, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and residents. A customer service mindset and comfort with computers or tablets are helpful as you perform in this role.

Join the world’s leading global security company as a Security Officer at a residential community access control post. You will provide access control, patrols, and incident response to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents, guests, vendors, and delivery personnel.

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response as appropriate.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor purpose; maintain a professional presence.
• Operate access control systems such as gates, key fobs, call boxes, and visitor management logs, and report malfunctions per site procedures.
• Screen and process visitors, contractors, and service providers, issuing and collecting visitor passes when required by site policy.
• Monitor camera views and alarm panels as assigned and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents calmly, problem-solve, and contact emergency services or site representatives as needed.
• Perform routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Document and report incidents, access denials, unusual activity, and resident or visitor concerns using site logs or electronic reporting tools.
• Provide directions and general assistance to residents and visitors, escalating to site management as appropriate.
• Support traffic and parking control during peak times and special events as directed.

• Access control and badge experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred
• Guard card and/or license preferred
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check in compliance with federal, state, and local laws;
