Litigation Attorney

Description

Our client is looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team in San Clemente, California. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who is detail oriented, with expertise in civil litigation and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. The role involves managing complex cases, drafting legal documents, and actively participating in various stages of litigation.

Responsibilities:

- Handle a caseload focused on civil litigation, including liability and business disputes.

- Draft and refine legal motions, pleadings, and discovery requests with precision.

- Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and involved parties to gather critical case information.

- Represent clients effectively during mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and settlement discussions.

- Perform thorough legal research to create well-reasoned and persuasive work products.

- Collaborate closely with partners to develop strategic approaches and prepare for trials.

- Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.

Requirements

- Active license to practice law in California.

- Experience in civil litigation, including liability and business cases that require attention to detail.

- Proven ability to draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents with attention to detail.

- Strong skills in conducting depositions and managing discovery processes.

- Experience participating in mediations, arbitrations, and hearings.

- Proficiency in legal research and creating high-quality, reasoned legal work.

- Excellent communication skills for maintaining client relationships and collaborating with partners.

- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively in a fast-paced environment.
