As we scale, we’re looking for a Logistics Manager to own and manage global logistics operations. This role will be responsible for carrier strategy, logistics cost and lead‑time management, contract negotiations, and day‑to‑day logistics execution, while supporting and evolving existing logistics processes. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role for someone who is detail‑oriented, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving environment.
Responsibilities- Own and manage global logistics across air, ocean, ground, and courier.
- Define and manage shipping lanes, transit times, and service levels.
- Select, onboard, and manage freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Monitor carrier performance and drive accountability through KPIs and service reviews.
- Lead carrier and forwarder pricing negotiations and contract management.
- Own rate cards, SLAs, and escalation terms.
- Track logistics spend and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Establish approval thresholds for premium or expedited shipping.
- Own logistics lead times by mode, lane, and region.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and communicate risks or delays.
- Act as the escalation owner for delayed or at‑risk shipments.
- Balance cost and speed decisions in alignment with business priorities.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, domestic and international.
- Provide operational support to internal teams for shipment execution.
- Manage exceptions including missed pickups, damages, losses, or carrier failures.
- Own freight claims and resolution with carriers and insurers.
- Manage customs clearance processes and broker operations globally.
- Review and approve shipping documentation including commercial invoices, HTS classifications, country of origin, valuation, and Incoterms.
- Ensure duties, tariffs, and taxes are accurately assessed and charged by customs authorities and brokers.
- Audit duty and tariff charges against HTS classifications and shipment documentation to identify errors or over payments.
- Drive corrections, refunds, or post‑entry adjustments where discrepancies are identified.
- Stay informed on tariff changes and trade regulations that may impact logistics cost or lead time.
- Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and maintain audit‑ready records.
- Maintain and refine existing logistics SOPs and workflows.
- Identify targeted improvements to reduce cost, lead time, or risk.
- Support the evolution of logistics processes as shipment volume and complexity increase.
- Track and report logistics KPIs including cost, transit time, and on‑time delivery.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement and carrier performance management.
- 6+ years of experience in global logistics, freight operations, or supply chain.
- A Bachelor's Degree, or preferably a Masters Degree.
- Strong experience negotiating carrier pricing and managing shipping lanes.
- Strong understanding of customs, duties, tariffs, and trade compliance.
- Experience reviewing and validating duty and tariff assessments.
- Experience managing multiple carriers, forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is between $160,000 - $200,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
