Frosh-Soph/JV Coach

• Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques needed for the specific sport.
• Demonstrate successful personality and character traits appropriate to educational leadership.
• Organize practices and design an appropriate conditioning program with the varsity head coach and/or Athletic Director.
• Manage and organize practices following all district guidelines and policies.
• Communicate with parents, administrators, staff, and students.
• Instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork in a diverse group of young athletes.
• Help students balance a demanding academic workload with athletic commitment.
• Work cohesively with all coaches within the sport program.
• Follow the CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct and the BVAL policies and guidelines.
• Follow district protocols regarding cash handling, and maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.

• Playing experience in the specific sport at the high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional level.
• Experience coaching youth leagues, middle school, or sports camps in the same sport, or equivalent experience.
• Current state of California coaching certifications.
• Annual mandated reporter training.
• Must pass District Fingerprint clearance.
• Professional references.
• Valid CPR, First Aid, ASEP, SCA, Heat Illness Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, Integrated Pest Management, and Concussion certifications prior to employment.

Comments:
Compensation for a hired coaching position is conditional on the lifting of restrictions and a team's authorized participation in the sports season.
