Frosh-Soph/JV Coach
Responsibilities- Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques needed for the specific sport.
- Demonstrate successful personality and character traits appropriate to educational leadership.
- Organize practices and design an appropriate conditioning program with the varsity head coach and/or Athletic Director.
- Manage and organize practices following all district guidelines and policies.
- Communicate with parents, administrators, staff, and students.
- Instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork in a diverse group of young athletes.
- Help students balance a demanding academic workload with athletic commitment.
- Work cohesively with all coaches within the sport program.
- Follow the CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct and the BVAL policies and guidelines.
- Follow district protocols regarding cash handling, and maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.
- Playing experience in the specific sport at the high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional level.
- Experience coaching youth leagues, middle school, or sports camps in the same sport, or equivalent experience.
- Current state of California coaching certifications.
- Annual mandated reporter training.
- Must pass District Fingerprint clearance.
- Professional references.
- Valid CPR, First Aid, ASEP, SCA, Heat Illness Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, Integrated Pest Management, and Concussion certifications prior to employment.
- Complete Edjoin online application, cover letter, and resume.
- Provide current TB test results.
- Provide evidence of all required certifications.

Compensation for a hired coaching position is conditional on the lifting of restrictions and a team's authorized participation in the sports season.
