Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a Senior Manager Software Development to lead a team and plan software development projects, create documentation, and deliver software products for internal as well as external customers. Interact and work with their counterparts globally to ensure effective delivery of the projects. Provide hands‑on software engineering, development, and/or architectural leadership. Perform HW‑SW co‑design – work across teams to define projects, execute with quality and deliver on time.

Deliver performance for AI applications in a resource‑constrained edge system. Lead performance optimizations across various levels of the software stack. Lead the team working on chip (SoC) level optimizations. Deliver a scalable software solution for the bleeding edge of AI algorithms. Define and map AI models to the AMD NPU system strongly adhering to the constraints of edge programming. Responsible for optimized code generation for accelerating cutting‑edge AI models on NPU/AI Engine accelerator.

Utilize expertise with computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to develop resolution to critical issues and broad design matters. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various Xilinx products.

No

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: A Doctorate degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required:
The following skills are required:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

• Generating low‑level code for AI acceleration;
• AI frameworks in ONNX or PyTorch;
• Developing compilers for AI accelerators;

Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following:

• Unix or Linux environments;
• Programming in C or C++;
• Machine‑Learning, Object Oriented design, memory management, or multi‑threading;
• Code optimization using the GPU or software performance analysis;
• Software debugging using macOS, Linux, or Unix;
• Version control in Git;
• Data structures;
