* Job Duties:

*** Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs for multinational computational software company.
* Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
* Design and develop new features and algorithms required for the development of a new Custom Prototyping Flow for Cadence’s Protium Prototyping Platform.
* Analyze implementation specification with the team spread across different geographies.
* Work with technical support lead and key customers to resolve implementation or usage issues.
* Develop all parts of the stack (algorithms, databases, UI) and revisit traditional synthesis and optimization algorithms using emerging technologies in machine learning and big data.
* Produce technical specifications from requirement documents/sources.
* Perform unit test on deliverables to maintain quality standards.
* Debug issues from Product Validation and Application Engineering teams.
* Some telecommuting permitted.

* Qualifications:

*** Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
* FPGA-based algorithm development
* Logic optimization and synthesis
* Hardware and software co-verification and debug including hardware-software interface validation, and system-level debug methodologies
* System-level verification architecture including protocol-guided analysis of SoC designs, on-chip communication monitoring infrastructure, system interconnection verification, multi-core integration debug, and verification methodologies
* Advanced data structures and algorithms, including Binary Decision Diagrams (BDD), SAT solvers, graph algorithms for timing analysis, multiplexer decomposition algorithms, weight calculation algorithms for developing, optimizing existing synthesis flow, and machine learning models for timing prediction
* Utilize advanced C++ Programming to develop and optimize EDA tools, including implementation of complex algorithms and timing analysis engines for FPGA prototyping

The annual salary range for California is $184,242 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
