The Ash Group is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for our client (a global technology distributor connecting leading manufacturers of electronic components and computing solutions). This is a 12-month Onsite contract role based in San Jose, CA
, offering a pay rate of $59.00 per hour. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of real-time embedded software, from initial board bring‑up to system optimization.

• Compensation: $59.00 per hour.

• Design and develop high-performance, real-time embedded software, including RTOS (Real‑Time Operating Systems), hypervisors, and bootloaders.
• Execute Board Bring‑Up activities for customized ARM targets, ensuring hardware and software integration is seamless.
• Perform rigorous testing and debugging of developed software to ensure safety and stability.
• Support certification activities, potentially involving high‑integrity standards like DO-178
  .
• Troubleshoot microcontroller peripherals and common communication protocols to resolve complex system bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with customers to translate specific needs into technical software requirements and architecture.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation within an iterative Agile development process.

• Technical Mastery: Significant programming experience in C and professional experience with ARM architectures.
