* Job Duties:

*** Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs for multinational computational software company.
* Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
* Write and maintain software codes for Cadence products.
* Conduct research for new technologies as a primary investigator.
* Develop and apply new algorithms for new technologies.
* Develop software prototypes of new technologies.
* Develop test environments for software prototypes.
* Write software codes to implement the technologies of the software prototype in an existing or new product.
* Some telecommuting permitted.

* Qualifications:

*** Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Utilize Python and C++ programming languages for collaborative software engineering projects
* Agile development of computer engineering technologies with phased feature development
* Discrete mathematics, combinatorial optimization, and computational complexity analysis
* Operation systems, computer architecture, performance engineering
* Root cause analysis in software engineering
* Program analysis, compiler optimization, code generation, programming language implementation
* Mechanism of Failures (MoF) diagnosis on computer engineering problems

The annual salary range for California is $187,741 to $208,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
